Stockholm Tivoli
One year after I could rediscover Copenhagen I had the chance to do the same with another Scandinavian capital: Stockholm. I haven´t been around since twelve years so somehow it was all kind of new to me. Some may say there might be better times during the year to fly to Sweden than in early December. It’s dark (yes) it´s cold (true) and if you are not totally into Scandinavian xmas decoration – why don’t you go in summer? Fair question, but Stockholm is great no matter what the conditions are.

On the way to the Vasa Museum
Probably the coolest thing to do in Stockholm is to visit the Vasa Museum. It´s a pretty big museum built around a gigantic warship that capsized and sank in Stockholm 1628. And this ship which had been underwater for 333 years is the only preserved 17th century ship on this planet. And it’s massive.

Stockholm in winter sounds like a museum-heavy visit. So apart from the Vasa Museet there is the Modern Museet (great – modern art and design… and for free) and l even visited the ABBA museum, which was quite a time-warp. And these ABBAtars looked scarily real.
